Cauliflower Peas Masala Recipe

CAULIFLOWER PEAS MASALA
CAULIFLOWER PEAS MASALA

This is my very first recipe in my food blog. In our house we usually make rotis for dinner. Since my husband hates eating dry sabji, I usually make dal or gravy sabji only. This is one of our favourite gravy sabji with gobi and green peas.

Ingredients:

Gobi(cauliflower)- 1 small
Green peas- 1 cup (I used frozen peas).
Oil-2 tblspoon
Ghee-1 tblspoon
Onion-1, chopped
Tomato-1, chopped
Green chilly-2
Ginger- 1 small piece
Garlic-3 pods
Cashews- 3 or 4.
Cumin seeds- 1 spoon
Kasoori methi- 2 spoons
Everest kitchen king masala- 1 spoon
Garam masala-1 spoon
Coriander powder- 1 spoon
Coriander leaves chopped to garnish.

Method:

1. Cut cauliflower into pieces and put in warm water.

2. Heat a pan with oil and add cumin seeds. Add chopped onion and sauté until until it turns pink. Then add ginger, garlic and green chilly and fry for a minute. Add chopped tomatoes and sauté until it turns soft and mushy. Then add cashew and kasoori methi. Once the raw smell goes off, switch off the flame. Add 1 cup water and keep this aside for 20 mins. After that grind it into a smooth paste.

3. Cook cauliflower and green peas separately in boiling water with salt until its done.

4. Heat a kadai with ghee and add the ground paste. Add all the masala powders and fry until the ghee seperates in the sides. Add the cooked gobi and peas. Add water if needed and cook for 4-5 mins. Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rotis, naan, fried rice or pulav.
